Kaposi sarcoma involving cervical lymph nodes

A case of 24-year-old patient with a rare Kaposi’s sarcoma was presented. Physical examination revealed enlarged neck lymph nodes. Final diagnosis was conducted in open biopsy of the neck. Further laboratory diagnostics showed a positive test of HHV-8 as well as positive result for HIV. Based on the review of the literature an etiological agent and clinical forms of disease was described. Furthermore a diagnostic procedure and treatment was discussed.
