Leg ulcers as a side-effects of using hydroxyurea at patients with myeloprolifeartive disordes

In this study of leg ulcers etiology, pathogenesis, localization and characteristic features has been shown for different types ulcerations. Hydroxyurea mechanism of action, indications and contraindications for therapy of polycythemia vera and essential thrombocythemia has been described. Dependence between therapy of hydroxyurea and occurrence of painful leg ulcerations has been proven.
