Soft tissue calcifications are mineral depositions consisting of calcium-phosphorous salts that appear as a non-specific regional reaction or as one of the symptoms of specific disease. This is a case report of soft tissue calcifications which appeared in a 5-year-old girl in the course of dermatomyositis and effects of treatment with intravenous bisphosphonate.
