Diabetes mellitus type 2 affects the outcome of patients with coronary artery disease. Due to augmentation of atherogenesis it leads to diffuse, multivessel coronary artery disease, including lesions located in the left main. Optimal treatment strategy is linked to multidisciplinary proceedings. Presented case relates to 65-years old patient with acute myocardial infarction without ST segment elevation with multivessel disease and long history of diabetes mellitus type 2.
