Quality of life among patients with cancer of reproductive system, in particular ovarian cancer is reduced. In this group of patients the quality of life is mostly affected by physical symptoms. All medical activities, which reducing the severity of physical symptoms, have a significant impact on improving the quality of life. The relationship between age and quality of life of patients with ovarian cancer could be also observed. In patients over 50 years of age deterioration of the quality of life and physical symptoms of this area requires special care. In contrast, younger patients were observed at higher intensity of anxiety and this group requires more attention and support in terms of psychological and emotional.
Considerable importance to the relevant information provided by health care professionals, including midwives and nurses involved in the process of treatment. Persons showing a higher degree of tolerance, understanding and resourcefulness could find themselves better in difficult situations, assessing their psychosocial functioning and overall quality of their lives. Therefore, if the patient is fully informed, well-oriented in its use and treatment of disease, she will assess the quality of your life much higher.
Currently, the assessment of the quality of life becomes an important element for a comprehensive assessment of the patient. Among other things, in the case of patients with ovarian cancer, there is a tendency that the quality of life is one of the important elements to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment and its impact on the value of a factor in shaping the plan.
