Management of cancer patients with symptoms of bowel obstruction

Gastrointestinal tract obstruction in the course of cancer is a difficult decision and therapeutic problem. In this review types of obstruction, pathophysiology, symptoms and management methods including surgical and conservative approach directed at the relief of distressing symptoms and an improvement of patients’ quality of life are discussed.
