In the whole medical system of management with patent with epilepsy there is place for the general practitioner. He can perform very important role in early diagnosis, and education. He should know principles of epilepsy diagnosis and treatment and first of all possible side effects connected with antiepileptic drugs. This review points special points of his care system.
