Handicapped persons have full rights to participate in social life and are entitled to be provided in all the benefits of healthcare system, including gynecological prophylactic and therapeutic procedures. Our aim was to identify specific problems occurring in the gynecological practice which are related to disability. Material and methods: 30 physi­cally handicapped patients aged 17-41 years old, were evaluated and questioned about their problems in obtaining gynecological assistance. The results show that gynecological care in handicapped patients does not meet patients' expectations and plays no prophylactic role. Typical algorithm of gynecological examination must be changed and modified according to the type of disability.
