Rheumatoid diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus erythematosus, scleroderma and polymyositis ankylosing spondylitis are associated with illness involving internal organs. Most patients demonstrated problems in the respiratory system, usually localized in pleura and interstitial tissue. Symptoms like dry couth and dyspnoea must be shown by chest X-ray, HRCT (high resolution computed tomography) and spirometry.
