Safety and efficacy of new topical nonsteroidal immunomodulators in the treatment of atopic dermatitis in children

In childhood atopic dermatitis (AD) is often the first sign of atopy. The epidemiology shows, that more AD follows to others allergy diseases like bronchial asthma or allergic rhinitis in next years. Pathogenesis of AD is complicated and it has showed difficulties findings the correct therapy. Classical management of AD with topical steroids has got many side-effects. The possibility of therapy of infants and children are limited. The new, topical medicines non-steroids anti-infammatory with immunosuppressant activity pimecrolimus and tacrolimus are a chance of better control AD and safety.
