Chromosome instability is a hidden attribute of a cell and/or organism emerging after an exposure to mutagen. There was established the bleomycin test for a qualitative estimation of chromosome instability being also a measure of mutagen sensitivity and further of genetic risk to develop cancer. A review presents application of bleomycin test to estimate a risk a head and cancer focused on laryngeal cancer. Next, an application to detect a tendency to develop secondary tumour and to estimate a cancer risk in young adults is discussed.
