Voriconazole and caspofungin – novel drugs in treatment of systemic fungal infections.
In this study voriconazole and caspofungin mechanism of action has been shown and efficacy and safety of both drugs have been compared with liposomal and conventional amphotericin B. Indications and contraindications for prophylaxis, empirical antifungal therapy, pre- emptive therapy and invasive treatment of fungal infections were described.
