The paper presents the diagnostics and treatment of secondary forms of hypertension according to the current ESH/ESC guidelines. Renovascular hypertension, pheochromocytoma, primary aldosteronism and sleep apnoea syndrome are discussed together with other forms of secondary hypertension. Additionally, the changes to the previous 2003 guidelines are presented.
