The onset and course of pemphigus are often a result of an interaction between predisposing genetic factors and environmental triggering agents. We present a case of trauma-triggered cutaneous pemphigus vulgaris in a 43-year-old female who has had a history of muco-cutaneous pemphigus vulgaris since 1992, however for the last 7 years she has been developing only very few lesions on oral mucous membranes. Lesions developed in areas of surgical procedures. The mechanism of induction of pemphigus lesions by trauma remains unclear, but Koebner phenomenon should be considered.
