Metabolic syndrome in patient with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

In the following paper work there have been presented patogenetic similarities between Metabolic Syndrome and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. There have been also presented epidemiologic data, the role of the factors contributing to appear following diseases and overall inflammatory state in their pathogenesis.
In that context the importance if some inflammatory cytokins have been discussed, which increased concentrations can have an impact on appearing and development of Metabolic Syndrome and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
