Cancer related fatigue (CRF) is one of the most frequent symptom in cancer patients. No appropriate polish translation of CRF has been established. Therefore, sixty seven cancer patients in far advanced stage and during oncological treatment were examined to explore: the best polish term describing CRF, the importance of the problem, the preferred method of CRF management and its clinical implications. Statistical analysis revealed that quality of life can influence on describing of CRF in polish language. The term osłabienie and brak energii has been selected the most often instead of term zmęczenie which is the most popular in polish medical literature. The majority of patients assessed CRF as very important and important symptom, but only in 30% of subjects this problem has been discussed by the doctors. Due to importance of the problem and small group of subjects research on defining the best Polish translation of CRF should be extended.
