In spite of the fact that splenic artery aneurysms are the most common visceral artery aneurysms, the treatment of these evokes a lot of controversy. They can be treated both by means of surgery, and by endovascular techniques. The following article presents a case of patient undergoing surgery because of a splenic artery aneurysm and also a review of current literature referring to diagnosis and treatment of splenic artery aneurysms.
