  • Perform a systematic duplex examination of the GSV, SSV, AASV, major tributaries and relevant perforating veins.
  • Optimise B-mode, colour and spectral Doppler settings for slow venous flow and reflux assessment.
  • Use appropriate patient positioning and provocative manoeuvres to identify and document reflux.
