XL Orthopedic Days will be unique. It is in 2023 that it will be 100 years since the first orthopedic clinic was established in Poland as part of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Poznań. It became possible thanks to the efforts of Professor Ireneusz Wierzejewski, which ended with the signing of an agreement between the University of Poznań and the Management Board of the Gąsiorowski Department. In 1923, the clinic began operating on the basis of a personal union: Ireneusz Wierzejewski became the director of the facility and manager of the clinic. This event, important for Polish orthopedics, marked the beginning of the great development of our specialty, expressed, among other things, by the introduction of innovative therapeutic methods, scientific development, but above all by effective assistance, provided over the next decades, to patients with musculoskeletal disorders.
We invite you to this orthopedic meeting in Poznań, a modern, European city with a rich educational and cultural offer. Entrepreneurship and reliability of Wielkopolska residents are recognized not only in the country, but also abroad. We hope that the varied scientific program prepared by us, which is a mixture of history and modernity, will encourage many orthopedists to accept our invitation. As the organizers, we promise that we will not disappoint the expectations of our guests.
