Confronting perimenopausal women’s knowledge of coronary heart disease with their health behaviours. Controversial role of hormone replacement therapy in the protection of coronary heart disease
The previously used term endovenous heat-induced thrombosis (EHIT), which refers to thrombosis at the junction of the treated vein when using thermal methods, is being replaced by the broader and more general concept of ablation-related thrombus extension (ARTE). This term encompasses both thermal and non-thermal methods. The course of this condition is significantly milder than typical thrombosis; however, it may still lead to deep vein thrombosis and, under certain conditions, even pulmonary embolism.
