Gastric cancer is the most common malignant neoplasm of this origin, and in Polish female popu-lation is ranked in 3% of all malignant neoplasms. Lymphatic metastasis to the minor pelvis is the form of dissemination for gastric cancer, and one of the most characteristic locations of metasta-tic tumors in women are ovaries. The tumors were first described by Friedrich Krukenberg in 1896. In gastric cancer patients with metastatic ovarian tumor, clinical course of the disease can be complicated, and diagnosis as well as treatment remain difficult. No optimal treatment strategy for Krukenberg tumors from gastric cancer has been clearly established, and the prognosis in patients with Krukenberg tumors remains generally poor. In the paper the case of 40-year patient with primary gastric cancer complicated by Krukenberg tumor and ileus is described. The review of the literature was performed.
