Online publish date: 2010/05/11
Introduction. Organ transplantation represents the best and frequently the unique therapeutic alternative for patients with end stage organ

and the number of patients that are indeed transplanted. As a result, the time on the waiting lists increases and patients may deteriorate or
even die while waiting for an organ. Present situation require multidirectional action to eliminate stereotypes connected with the transplantology.

Results and conclusions. Respondents represent a different degree of approval of organ’s donation. Students of medical university demonstrate
the highest level of the problem donation’s understanding. There are multiple factors that may have some impact on the potential
of donation. The permanent education campaign announcing needs and results of transplanting organs should be conduced in society.
