Management of persistent cancer pain exacerbations – case report

This is a case of a patient with breast cancer and bone metastases who suffered strong incidental pain induced by movement. Short acting morphine used at the beginning appeared unsuccessful. Good pain management has been achieved by use of sublingual fentanyl citrate tablets.
