Introduction.
For the well-being of the patient, necessary is opening for her problems and experiences, reducing the barriers between her
and the midwife. Because of the necessity to become a patient she can not lose the most essential attributes of her humanity, such like: the
sense of her dignity and worth, the respect for her corporal intergrity.

Aim of the study. The aim of the work was to get to know the pregnant women’s needs and expectations and realization of them in regard
to the midwifes taking care of those women.

Material and methods. In the research has been used the method of diagnostic survey. The investigational stuff were opinions of 300
hospitalized pregnant women and 65 midwifes. To estimate the reliability of the survey, was used a module of reliability and position. The
estimation of the level of dependence between answers to the chosen questions was made by using c2 Pearson’s test of a highest reliability.

Results and conclusion. The danger of pathological pregnancy elicts in pregnant women unfavorable emotional reactions which intensifies
the necessity to stay in the hospital. The pregnant women with pregnancy pathology often express a need of emotional assistance from
midwifes taking care of them. However, they do not define what exactly they expect from them.
