The incidence of diabetes mellitus is constantly increasing and therefore many specialists, including palliative medicine physicians and other doctors involved in treatment of pain, take care of patients with diabetes. Many of these patients require strong opioids.
This article, in light of the 2017 Diabetes Poland Guidelines, presents the management of patients with diabetes and taking strong opioids.
