Nowadays port catheters are more and more common used method during the chemotherapy. This is due to the many advantages connected with discussed system of drug administration, especially injection drugs directly to the veins and long term of using without the frequent recannulation. The base for right and effective using of port catheters is having elementary knowledge about construction, handling, indications and contraindications for using port catheters.
