Patients remaining under palliative care in advanced cancer disease and undergoing anticancer treatment are affected by immunodefficiency problem which results in increased susceptability to shingles. Cognition of causes, disease picture, the infection course and recommendation on antiviral and supportive therapy allows to implement effective treatment minimizing the risk of severe and chronical complications.
