Spinal anesthesia is a frequent type of anesthesia in surgeries, including patients operated for vascular diseases, such as varicose veins. Epidural anesthesia is used in anesthesia in surgeries and postoperative analgesia. Nurses caring for patients should know not only the rules of preparing the patient for anesthesia, but also its mechanism of action, most common complications, their treatment and prevention.
