The terms palliative rehabilitation and palliative care are mainly associate with cancer patients treatment. There is still an insufficient number of publications and guidelines according to the systemic rehabilitation and palliative care of patients suffering from a severe stroke in very serious and poor clinical condition with diagnosed large neurodegenerative lesions and global neurological deficit. The aim of the work was to present current opinions according to the qualification criteria for the palliative rehabilitation and palliative care with presentation of selected treatment techniques. We have performed an systemic analysis and critical review of the recommendations and guidelines published in scientific publications, without determining the level of evidence. We have noted that the terms palliative rehabilitation and palliative care are nowadays more increasingly related to the treatment of patients in terminal serious conditions after stoke. We have selected and present some recommendations but they are still insufficient.
