The effort of struggle against cervical cancer should be deepen all the time. Population screening for carcionoma of the cervix has proved to be the most effective method of lowering mortality for this cancer, which means that we should remember, that better screening planing for the better coverage of the population at risk and cervical cancer patients should be treated by in highly specialised gynecol-oncological centres by well-trained specialists.

Microinvasive carcinoma of the cervix (stage IA1) can be successfully treated with conservative surgery. About 80 % of patients with stage IB, IIA can be cured. Radical surgery and radiotherapy have a similar therapeutic value, in same clinical situation a combination of radiotherapy and surgery might be of benefit, but may results in the increase the risk of complications and treatment cost.
