International Classification for Nursing Practice (ICNP®) is an integral part of the global information infrastructure informing health care practice and policy to improve patient care worldwide. The ICNP® is a unified nursing language system. It is a compositional terminology for nursing practice that facilitates the development of and the cross-mapping among local terms and existing terminologies.

The aim of this work is to show the possibility of using ICNP® in the nursing care of the patient with hypertension. The current version of the ICNP® provides an opportunity implementations are available diagnoses and interventions by the nursing staff in the care exercised over patients with hypertension.
