Von Willebrand disease: the most common hereditary haemorrhagic disorder

Von Willebrand disease is the most common hereditary haemorrhagic disorder. A majority of patients (70%) have classic mild or moderate (type I) von Willebrand disease, and women are mostly affected. Clinical manifestations include menorrhagia and post partum bleeding.
