The type of received education determines the performed role in the profession. In this article, the aim of which was the comparative analysis of the Mental Health Nurse education process in Poland and England as well as a discussion about the recognition of Polish qualifications, the goals and programmes of nursing education in these countries were presented. The education at the undergraduate in Poland and England and postgraduate education, realized during the qualification course and the specialization in Poland were taken into account.
