Systemized form of mental violence which is used in workplace is called a mobbing. Exposure to aggression is very often a reason for different
kind of psychological disorders. People afflicted with mobbing are less confident than before this experience, they are losing motivation and
job satisfaction. They complain often about psychosomatic disorders, for example: dizziness, headache, stomach ache, fatigue, insomnia.
The risk of occurrence of mobbing is higher among nurses than among other professions. Shifts, fatigue, responsibility for people’s health and
life and stress which causes the exposure to harmful factors may cause general mental stress. The most frequent nurses’ behavior on the violence
are depression, discouragement, reduced level of job satisfaction and burnout. Polish researches revealed that the most frequent types of
psychological violence in workplaces are debasement, constant and unfounded criticism of work and digs. Nevertheless that mobbing is legal
regulation in Poland, still not many people attempt to overcome this problem.
The range of mobbing has extended during last few years. It reveled the need for multidimensional intervention and prevention of this problem.
