In recent years, the total number of automatic cardioverter-defibrillators implantations (ICD) has increased meaningfully. ICD implantation is
one of the most effective methods of preventing sudden cardiac death in the mechanism of life-threatening arrhythmias. This procedure
eliminates the fear of death, and on the other hand there are many other problems that hinder the patient back to normal life, to exercise presocial
and professional roles.

Adaptation of the patient after implantation of an ICD to return to work are complex, stretching over time, multi-stage, and requires the
involvement of all members of the therapeutic team. Includes the following steps: preparing the patient for implantation, early rehabilitation,
addressing non-business social roles, making professional roles.

Back to the occupation of the patient performed prior to implantation will undoubtedly affect the quality of life. Professional adaptation of
ICD patients, if possible, should be conducted at the time of implantation planning, which will affect the self-esteem of patients in their health
status and the perception of their own future and lead a normal lifestyle.
