A pilonidal disease is a chronic inflammation occuring in the slit between the buttocks. There are numerous methods of treating a pilonidal disease, among those, however, a rhomboid excision with Limberg flap (RELF) is the one subject to rather few recurrences.
In the following article the authors present a case study of a patient who had surgery due to a pilonidal disease as well as a review the professional literature related to the treatment of a pilonidal disease.
