The bottom limb venous ulceration represents serious health, social and economic problems. According to applicable guidelines, the basic element of conservative treatment of venous ulceration diseased people is systematic compression therapy. It becomes a ‘gold standard’ if it comes to venous ulceration, but also the prophylaxis of its recurrences. Nevertheless the crucial element in a diseased patient’s care is continuous education for the patient and his family. The understanding of the essence of the disease and the necessity of constant compression therapy, and the ability of its proper usage, increases the chances of an effective therapy and reduces the risk of the ulceration recurrences.
