The increasing popularity of herbal remedies and the fact that patients more and more often treat themselves can lead to a higher risk of interactions between medicine prescribed by doctors and herbal treatment. Both doctors and patients should take this fact under consideration, because the simultaneous reception of such products can endanger the safety and the efficiency of undertaken pharmacotherapy.
