Editor-in-Chief
Journal of Contemporary Brachytherapy
Dear Professor Skowronek
The publication of the first issue of this new Journal is a major step in the development of European brachytherapy and the Editor is to be congratulated on his vision and tenacity in achieving this milestone. I am honoured to have been invited to join the Editorial Board. We believe that this Journal will provide an important forum for brachytherapy where to date there is often a paucity of research data on which to base practice. It is hoped this new Journal will complement the general radiotherapy journals enabling papers on the technical aspects of brachytherapy and its results to be published and disseminated amongst the community and thereby increase the evidence base from which we all will benefit. We sincerely wish you every success in this new venture which deserves the wholehearted support of not only European brachytherapists but the international community seeking research based evidence for this important treatment modality in cancer care.
Yours sincerely
