There is an increased oncological risk in menopausal period and breast cancer is the most prevalent female neoplasm. Enhanced mammographic breast density (MBD) of menopausal women is relevant to breast cancer risk and can also appear during hormonal therapy (HT). In relation to MBD and breast cancer risk, menopausal HT should be based on low estradiol doses, SEEM progestins as well as tibolone. keywords:
