Confronting perimenopausal women’s knowledge of coronary heart disease with their health behaviours. Controversial role of hormone replacement therapy in the protection of coronary heart disease
Stanford type A aortic dissection is a life-threatening condition which requires urgent cardiac surgery. Nowadays apart from classic operative techniques it is possible to use endovascular treatment. The paper reports a case of a 58-year-old woman who underwent a staged operation for acute Stanford type A dissection using classical and hybrid techniques. The aorta was replaced from the aortic valve up to the iliac arteries.
