Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to inform you that the “Journal of Contemporary Brachytherapy” has received in June its first Impact Factor of 1.284. This accomplishment has been only possible due to devotion and commitment of many authors who over all these years have contributed to increase the quality of papers submitted to the “Journal of Contemporary Brachytherapy”, and supported our Journal during its development process. Apart from the Authors, I would like to thank many people who contributed to this success. First of all, I would like to thank the editorial/publishing team, colleagues who were very supportive for the “Journal of Contemporary Brachytherapy” and people who contributed significantly to all the efforts serving as excellent reviewers. Once again, thank you for our common success and I hope that in the next few years our cooperation will be equally fruitful.
With the year 2015, “Journal of Contemporary Brachytherapy” entered a new era. We decided on increasing the number of issues published from 4 to 6 per year from 2015. This should also meet the expectations of our readers who would like to have their papers not only evaluated professionally and competently but also processed as quickly as possible. It is my great pleasure to inform the readers that the “Journal of Contemporary Brachytherapy” has increased its impact on the national and international flow of scientific information as reflected by the indexing in PubMed, PubMed Central, and Thomson Reuters. Introducing a section “Educational Activity” is a great success and we receive a lot of positive comments. We invite authors and brachytherapy leaders to join in this very expected task.
“Journal of Contemporary Brachytherapy” is and will stay an open access journal, which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.
After discussion with our Co-Editors and Editorial Board, we are continuing remodeling the team directing the newspaper. Changes in Co-Editors and Editorial Team are already visible in this issue. It is associated with an increasing number of articles and numerous responsibilities that fall on the shoulders of all the Co-Editors. Number of Editorial Board members should be therefore increased. Thank you...
