Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune connective tissue disease where disorders in immunological system cause chronic inflammation of many tissues and organs. In rheumatic diseases we can observe an ulceration of mucous membrane in nasal and oral cavity, sometimes it leads to the perforation of nasal septum. This article describes a case of 19-year-old patient suffering from systemic lupus erythematosus with the perforation of the nasal septum discovered few months after first symptoms of the disease.
