Despite bthe fact that the use of many antiseptics leads to total bacterial eradication, restrict bacterial colonization and protect between uncontrolled pthogen growth, tissues of wounds are to delicate to be treated with many antiseptics. Modern antiseptics offers gentle preparations which are safety for healthy tissues. Their use significantly improves healing process. The aim of the study was to present the role of nurse in healing process and wound care. Implementation of modern methods of nursing care should always be associated with proper holistic approach.
