Natural lymphoid cells belong to the cells of the innate immune system. Their main role is to regulate the immune response to infectious and non-infectious inflammatory stimuli. They play a key role in the etiology of chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) due to their ability to react quickly and shape the cytokine microenvironment. The development of CRS in children demonstrates the interaction between dysbiosis and the inflammatory response of the respiratory mucosa.
