The aim of our study was to determine lipoproteine (a) concentration in women with preeclampsia and in healthy pregnancies, and to asses the usefulness of lipoproteine (a) concentration as a prognostic factor of eclampsia. Our results show that determination of lipoproteine (a) levels in preeclampsia may be significant as predictive factor of eclampsia. Low Lp(a) levels correlate with high diastolic and sysytolic pressure of examined women.
