The 5 years old girl with the second recurrence of Kawasaki disease

Kawasaki disease is a multisystem vasculitis of assorted sizes, where the coronary vessels are involved, which results in functional and/or structural damage. The etiology of the disease is unknown. In this article we described the case of a 5 year old girl, who presented a recurrence of disease symptoms twice. The recognition of the disease was based on clinical criteria and laboratory tests. She was treated in accordance with the therapy standards. (IVIG and acetylosalicilic acid). During the third recurrence, methyloprednisolon was used, to the good therapeuthic effect. The girl is still in charge of the Institute of Rheumatology, she felt comfortable. There is no pathological symptoms in repeated echocardiography.
