Eosinophilic fasciitis is a rare disease of connective tissue of unknown etiology. It appears separately or in connection with other autoimmunological or oncological diseases. Sclerosis of subcutaneous tissue in some localized places is a specific symptom of eosinophilic fasciitis. There are no determined treatment standards of the disease so far, but the studies describing case reports indicate that eosinophilic fasciitis is a self-limited disease. In the current study a case with diagnosed eosinophilic fasciitis is presented and compared with other selected cases of that disease found in the available literature. Additionally the low level of albumins administrated was noted in the described case and attempts of explanation were undertaken. The treatment and its results are also presented (Tables I–III).
