Reproduction is one of the basic human phenomena. Becoming a parent is an important moment in a family’s life. The psychological influence of childlessness on men and woman is discussed. Causes of sterility and some methods of assisted reproduction are presented. Pregnancy as a result of assisted reproduction requires special care. Attention is paid to complications in the course of pregnancy, especially multifocal.
