Nursing problems of women with ovarian cancer

Objectives: estimation of more frequent symptoms in women with ovarian cancer who admitted to doctors, assessment of nursing problems and types of solving during illness and therapy.
Material and methods: present study included 108 of women hospitalised due to ovarian cancer with chemotherapy. Material was collected with an anonymous questionnaire especially constructed for this study.
Results, Conclusions: Most women with ovarian cancer did not accept their disease. The main symptoms of ovarian cancer included: increasing of abdomen diameter, loss of weight, bulges, abdomen pain, constipations, low back pain and vomiting. Biological problems included: vomiting and nausea, fatigue, constipations, diarrhoea, and stomatitis. Main psycho-social problem was hair loss.
